First look poster of ‘Father of the Nation’ out

Staff Reporter: The first look poster of the full-length documentary film ‘Father of the Nation’, directed by Monjurul Islam Megh, has been out. The poster has been unveiled under the production company Cinemaking on Thursday.

Dhaka University student and artist Ahsana Angona has designed the poster.

The documentary will be made based on the album ‘Chobir Bhashay Mahanayak Bangabandhu O Bangladesh’ by Borno Prokash Ltd. ‘Chobir Bhashay Mahanayak Bangabandhu O Bangladesh’ has contained a total of 1300 pictures of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Alhamra Nasrin Hossain Luiza, chairman of Borno Group and producer of documentary film ‘Father of the Nation’, said, “Bangabandhu is our great leader. I had to see Bangabandhu with my own eyes when I was children.” I am a Bangabandhu lover. As my father was a freedom fighter, I grew up with Bangabandhu’s ideals from my family. After working for 8 long years, I have published 1300 pictures of Bangabandhu with my own funds ‘Chobir Bhashay Mahanayak Bangabandhu O Bangladesh’.

Yesterday (June 9) in the seminar room of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the book was unveiled by the Hon’ble Minister of Information and Broadcasting Dr. Hasan Mahmud MP. Work on the documentary began some month ago, but ‘Father of the Nation’s Fast Look was delayed due to delays in unveiling the book ‘Chobir Bhashay Mahanayak Bangabandhu O Bangladesh’.

Monjurul Islam Megh said, “On the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, I have done some projects on Bangabandhu. I’ve planned to make a full-length documentary on Bangabandhu. In collaboration with Borno Prokash, we started work on it four months ago. We have already done the scripting and research work.”

“To mark the year 1971, the length of the documentary will be 71 minutes. There will be some attraction in the documentary that the audience has not seen before. Hopefully, the documentary will be released on December 14 this year”, he added.

Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artiste and freedom fighter Dr. Monoranjan Ghosal and Professor Dr. A.T.M. Rezaul Haque are the advisors of the documentary. Produced by Borno Prokash’s Chairman Alhamra Nasrin Hossain Luiza, the docu-film has been scripted by Monjurul Islam Megh himself.

Ahsana Angona, Aymoy Aranya, Monjurul Imran, Munna, Md. Rafiqul Islam and Muktar Hossain are working in the research team of the full-length documentary film ‘Father of the Nation’ production under the banner of Cinemaking.
