Jaipur 17 January 2020: Sixth edition of Rajasthan International Film Festival by Riff Film Club from 18 January to 22 January 2020 at Jawahar Kala Kendra and Cinepolis, World Trade Park, JLN Marg, Jaipur, 5 Years of Riff & 150 Years of Mahatma Gandhi Will be on the theme.

Somendra Harsh and Anshu Harsh, Managing Trustee of RIFF Film Club and Founder of Rajasthan International Film Festival, stated that “RIFF’s inauguration ceremony will be held on 18 January 2020 at 5 PM at Open Theater, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur and on 22 January The award ceremony will be held at the Open Theater, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur in which best films, artists will be honored. Films Screening, Seminars, Workshops , Talk Shows, Knowledge Series will be held at Cinepolis, World Trade Park, JLN Marg, Jaipur. Feature Films and Short Films Awarded at the various Film Festivals of India and abroad will be screened.  Music Video Albums, Documentary Films, Animation Films and Regional Films will be also screened.

Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) has been given Official recognition from the Film Federation Society of India (FFSI). “
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi has been filmed with many angles in Bollywood. In which the movements fought for the independence of the country are well shown. Gandhiji’s principles inspired people all over the world to take up the civil rights and freedom movement. He adhered to non-violence and truth in every situation and asked people to follow them, under the 150 Years of Mahatma Gandhi, those films will be highlighted which are based on Bapu’s life. On the theme of 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi exhibition will be exhibited by National Film Archive of India at Rajasthan International Film Festival, along with  on the five-year journey of RIFF exhibition at Parijat 2 Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur

The Rajasthan International Film Festival, to be held from January 18 will have main guest Film Producer Manish Mundra. Film actress Tannishtha Chatterjee and Anshuman Jha will  be present. The focus country of the Rajasthan International Film Festival this year will be South Korea, with Korean documentary film director Moyoung Jin and Korean Culture Center director Kim Kumpyoung will be present at the opening ceremony at RIFF at Jawahar Kala Kendra. South Korea’s film Naye Chale (My Turn) will be the opening film of RIFF 2020. Kim Kumpyoung, director of the Korean Culture Center, will be present on the talk show “The Changing Landscape and Future of Cinema” on 19 January.


Korean documentary film director Moyoung Jin’s 2 films “My Love, Don’t Cross Date River” and “Old Marine Boy” will have special screenings at RIFF 2020. Director Moyoung Jin will be present for al five days of the festival and will be present in the talk show “The Describing Division Between Hallyuwood, Bollywood and Regional Cinema”.


This year not only Indian films will be showcased but Feature , short, documentary films from South Korea, Singapore, Bangladesh, Brazil, France , etc will be screened . 

RIFF 2020 includes 73 films featuring 38 short films, 9 documentary films, 16 feature films, 2 animation films, 1 Rajasthani film, 3 music albums and 4 special screenings.


There will be knowledge series talk shows at Cinepolis World Trade Park from 19 am to 12 am daily from January 19, with filmmaker Manish Mundra on January 19, Rahul Rawail on January 20, Anant Mahadevan on January 21 and Anup Soni on January 22 .

The Rajasthan International Film Festival this year will feature artists like Rahul Rawail, Anoop Soni, Vikram Kochhar, Yashpal Sharma, Manish Mundra, Nandita & Ishaan Puri, Rituraj Singh, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Anant Mahadevan, Anushka Sen and many more
The Special Award – (RIFF PRIDE OF RAJASTHAN) will be given to  Gulab Singh Tanwar. Like  every year, this award is given to such a personality in the film world whose roots are associated with Rajasthan and has achieved its place in the cinema of the country and abroad. Gulab Singh is the producer of films like Parched, Rajma Chawal, Teen, Bhathar Hurren. Ompuri has been with RIFF since the first year . Ompuri ji also said that he is and will remain RIFF’s guardian, so even after he leaves. He is still and always will be RIFF’s patron. So to preserve his memory, it was announced at the time of organizing the third year of RIFF that in 2018 special award for “Common Man in Cinema” in memory of Ompuri will be given . This year Anup Soni will be given the Common Man in Cinema Award
